TweetAre you afraid of the dark? According to clinical psychologist, John Mayer, Ph.D., it is very common and an estimated 11 percent of the U.S. population is afraid of the dark well into adulthood. Darkness impairs our vision and we become afraid of things we cannot see or understand. It is helpful to know that you are not alone. My family, like most, have a routine for our children at bedtime.
